About our retreats

A Day or Longer?

Whether you are joining us for a day or longer, a Tediophobes retreat is designed for you - a fellow business owner with problems to solve. Each retreat will offer you space and time to learn, to uncover, to absorb and digest.

Who?

We are the Tediophobes. A collective of problem solvers, storytellers and creatives. Our backgrounds span from ex Head of Video Strategy for Conde Nast, Podcast development and production for the BBC, to setting up a Garden delivery business during COVID and founding a chain of Yoga Studios across London. Our range of experience is diverse, but each of us found our way for a similar reason. We are problem solvers at heart.

You are someone with a problem. Be it expansion, a pitch, getting things started or logistics. We can’t wait to meet you.

What now?

If you are curious, drop us a message and we’ll walk you through the next steps. For our longer retreats we have different accommodation options from single to double to dorm, and all retreats are catered. We recommend flight times, and we know the island inside out so can make sure you soak up all the good stuff.

Why Ibiza?

Despite having offices in LA, Dubai, and London. Ibiza is home to some of us and we know how special the island is. We want to share the balance between growth, expansion, adventure and joy that we have found here. And music. We can’t forget about the music.

Meet your hosts

Ashley Pollak

Throughout my career, I've harnessed creativity to start a diverse range of projects. From running a cultural-focused commercial agency for 12 years, where I produced advertising, documentaries, and social content for clients like the British Museum and the Royal College of Art, to co-founding a garden delivery business during the first four days of lockdown. I’ve ventured into the world of radio, producing a show for BBC Radio 4 and develop brand-funded podcasts for cultural and scientific institutions.

I believe in thinking Why Not? rather than What if? I’ve often thought that my ability to spark ideas into action was an affliction, but increasingly I’ve realised that it’s an ability that others find challenging. So with this workshop I look forward to working with you to make great ideas happen.

Sophie Whippy

I began my career in the creative industries of London over a decade ago, diving into roles that ranged from image retouching and casting to shoot production. Each experience deepened my passion and curiosity for the creative process, how things work and why.

In 2012, I decided to embark on a new adventure and opened Stretch, a yoga studio in East London with a co-founder. It was the first of its kind in the area, and its success has inspired many smaller studios to follow in its footsteps. Playing a key role in the company’s growth and development has been one of my proudest achievements. We started the company with spare change from our pockets and ended up with multiple studios across London, Retreats and Yoga Teacher Trainings across the globe.

Each step of my journey has been driven by a passion for creativity, innovation, and helping others bring their visions to life. I have always found it hard to answer the dreaded question "what do you do?" but as a colleague recently pointed out to me, I make shit happen.
